Regional Impact Award at The Polly Hill Arboretum
Join Native Plant Trust at The Polly Hill Arboretum on Martha’s Vineyard as we honor Tim Boland, recipient of the Regional Impact Award, which recognizes exceptional leadership and achievement in native plant conservation, horticulture, or education with regional significance.
This award celebrates individuals or organizations whose work advances the understanding, protection, and appreciation of the region’s native plants.
Tim is being recognized for his decades of leadership in ecological horticulture, including his transformative work expanding Polly Hill Arboretum’s mission to include native plant conservation, research, and education. Tim will share reflections from his 40-year career and the experiences that have shaped his work in advancing botanical gardens as centers for conservation and learning.
Following his remarks, guests are invited to participate in a Q&A exploring the future of native plant conservation and the role of gardens in protecting regional biodiversity.
