A Botanical Roadmap: How Herbaria Can Help
Are you concerned about climate change, fascinated by beautiful objects, or some combination of the two? Learn how botanists, ecologists, historians, artists, and more use herbaria, and how the information we can glean from herbarium specimens contributes to our understanding of plants today. Native Plant Trust’s Herbarium Manager Kate Wellspring and Collections Assistant Fitzwilliam Dettmer will discuss the many reasons herbaria should matter to all of us, and offer special insights on their recent work with the 6,000 specimens in Native Plant Trust’s own herbarium.
