Botany Is Survival: How to Use Art to Get the Word Out

In this workshop, artist and environmental educator Kari Percival will introduce how she explores and identifies key scientific concepts, designs visual imagery, and hones wording to share messages. You’ll learn how art can enlist allies with a call to action to help rescue our most beloved home and natural communities from extinction. With a hands-on focus on wordsmithing and image-crafting, you will learn how to pair your interest in botany with art to empower an audience of allies with key information, eye-catching images, and tools for action.
