Stewarding the Future: Plant Walks with Elizabeth James Perry – Bountiful Berries, and More
Join culture bearer, marine scientist, and educator Elizabeth James-Perry (Aquinnah Wampanoag) for a series of free plant walks examining the care and conservation of plant communities through the lens of the Native seventh generation principle where long-term sustainability is key when considering human impacts.
Visit a classic Northeast kettle hole pond, with a rich assemblage of wetland plants and shrubs, home to the distinctive and abundant wild berries of the region such as huckleberry, blueberry, and cranberry.
