Fall Foliage in the Garden

Join us for a tour of a mini coastal wildlife refuge. This garden, at the edge of Bullocks Cove, features native plants chosen for their beauty and ecological value and ability to withstand sandy soil and, in some cases, occasional salt water flooding. The property features a roof garden with eastern prickly-pear (Opuntia humifusa), two rain gardens that supports swamp azalea (Rhododendron viscosum), and a fish pond with water lilies (Nymphaea odorata) and marsh marigolds (Caltha palustris) that creates privacy for a terrace below. The garden is a haven for people, birds, and insects.
