Partnerships for Rare Plant Management
For Natural Heritage Programs and partners, tracking rare plant populations is challenging due to lack of resources, personnel, and feasibility. Ecological Programs Coordinator, Bud Sechler, explains Native Plant Trust’s process of prioritizing management projects with Natural Heritage Programs in each New England state, and gives examples of on-going collaborations. We will discuss ways to improve the management of rare plant populations.
