Invasive Plants: Identification, Impacts, and Management

This class will cover identification, impacts, and control of many of the invasive plant species that are an unwelcome but persistent presence in forests, fields, and wetlands. The evening session will include a powerpoint presentation and a close examination of herbarium specimens of many invasive that occur in New England. The field study will examine the impacts of a number of these species, and discuss methods for managing invasive plant populations.
