Arbor Day Celebration and Jonathan Drori Talk

Join us for this fun-filled, family-friendly day to celebrate trees and forests. There will be children’s activities, games, art projects, and investigation stations throughout the Garden. Adults can enjoy guided tours and workshops on planting and pruning trees. We will give away 100 trees on a first-come, first-served basis.

*Special Addition: Jonathan Drori, author of the new highly-acclaimed book, Around the World in 80 Trees, will give a free talk at 11am in the Education Center, followed by a book signing. Books will be available from our shop. We highly recommend registration for this talk.

Jonathan Drori is a Trustee of The Eden Project, an Ambassador for the World Wide Fund for Nature, and was for nine years a Trustee of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and The Woodland Trust. He is a Fellow of the Linnean Society and the Zoological Society of London, and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. He is a former Head of Commissioning for BBC Online and Executive Producer of more than fifty prime-time BBC TV series on science and technology. In 2006 he was awarded a CBE.
