Advanced Plant Inventory Techniques

This course builds on botanical survey tools and methods to cover the procedures and techniques for conducting a botanical inventory on conservation land. Following an evening session of reviewing research and sampling strategies, we spend a full day in the field inventorying the vascular plants on an ecologically diverse site. On the second evening, we review our results, identify plants that were puzzling in the field, and compile a complete list of our findings. This course is designed for students who have taken the Society’s Botanical Inventory Methods course.
